Abstract
Basically, governance is about decisions that ultimately affect people ( stakeholders). It’s about the processes that participants in governance use to make decisions. It’s also about how they coordinate around decisions and decision-making processes. It includes the establishment, maintenance, and revocation of the legitimacy of decisions, decision making processes, norms, and other mechanisms for coordination. In this article we are going to give a comprehensive overview of the Solcial networks structure.
INTRODUCTION
Solcial is the first permissionless, censorship-resistant web3 social network. Built on the Solana blockchain , it will reward users for their work while promoting Freedom of speech without worrying about ban or content censorship.
Since Solcial is a permissionless network, it has no central authority that decides what gets censored or permitted. The community governance will be taken care of by Solcial DAO and foundation. Allowing Freedom of speech doesn’t mean that all type of content is allowed. Certain content related to nazis, terrorism etc will not be permitted on the platform.
SOLCIAL GOVERNANCE MODEL
Solcial’s aim is to be a decentralized social network run and managed by its users, the community. As a community-owned network, the community is in charge of making the decisions for how the network evolves.
Solcial core developer team built everything with the intention of decentralizing and progressively removing themselves from its administration and evolution.
Governance Participation
In Solcial Network anyone can participate in governance by making proposals, discussing them, and participating in votes.
SLCL serves as a governance token of Solcial network. Token holders will have the right to vote, create & submit proposals to Solcial DAO which is an essential element in steering the project in the right direction.
Governance Forum
The Solcial community governance portal will be open after the launch. This will be a venue for the community to make and discuss proposals. More details on the proposal process are to be announced after the launch.
Driven by the will to give our community the power to influence decisions and incentivize active participation, we are launching our own governance vote . This new project-management model has proven to be efficient within the blockchain industry, and Solcial Network are excited to launch the first decentralized governance vote

Votes will take place on a dedicated DAO voting platform (to be announced). You will have to use your SLCL balance to vote, and the results will be calculated according to . To ensure sybil resistance with quadratic voting, participants will need a unique NFT in order to vote.
